EFC Official Rules

Eligibility Requirements

Age

• Must be 18+ to fight without parent involvement.
• Fighters age 16–17 MUST have a parent or guardian present.
• Valid ID is required before competing.

Waiver

• All fighters MUST sign an official liability waiver before stepping into any match.
• No waiver = no fight. No exceptions.

Condition

• You must be physically capable of competing.
• No visible injuries, intoxication, or impairment allowed.
• Organizer has the right to deny any fighter for safety reasons.

Equipment Rules

Mandatory Gear

• Mouthguard (required)
• Groin protector (required)
• Hand wraps (optional but recommended)
• Gloves provided or approved by EFC

Clothing

• No jewelry or metal of any kind.
• Shorts only — no pockets, zippers, or chains.

Fight Conduct Rules

Illegal Strikes

• No groin shots.
• No strikes to the back of the head or spine.
• No eye pokes.
• No small joint manipulation (fingers/toes).
• No headbutts.
• No kicking or kneeing a grounded opponent in the head.

Legal Techniques

• Boxing punches to legal areas.
• Body shots.
• Clinching allowed (limited).
• Light grappling ONLY if agreed beforehand.

Stopping the Fight

• The ref may stop at ANY time for safety.
• Fighters may tap out verbally or physically.
• If a fighter cannot intelligently defend, the match ends immediately.

Behavior Rules

Sportsmanship

• No trash talk that crosses into harassment.
• No fighting outside the designated match area.
• Respect staff, refs, and fighters.

Automatic Disqualifications

• Intentional fouls.
• Continued illegal strikes after warnings.
• Refusal to break when told.
• Unsportsmanlike conduct.
• Coming intoxicated or high.

All EFC fights are strictly exhibition matches. No fighter is to be considered a professional competitor. Signing the waiver means you accept full responsibility for injuries and risks. Failure to sign or follow rules results in instant removal from the event.
